Programs 

BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION

Address behaviors interfering in ability to learn:
  • Inattention and work behavior
  • Impulsivity and frustration tolerance
  • Resistance to change and Adaptive skills
  • Self-stimulatory and other stereotypic behaviors
  • Non-compliance and non-responsiveness
  • Disruptive and Aggressive behavior
  • Manipulative and attention-seeking behavior

 

COMMUNICATION

Provide structured intervention programs to develop ability to communicate:
  • Verbally request for wants, negatation and seek assistance
  • Use of Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) to as means of communicative expression
  • Use combined means of expressions, through pictures, gestures and other augmentative forms of communication.
  • Social Language
  • Auditory processing
 

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

Provide educational programs to teach:
  • Literacy skills
  • Numeracy skills
  • Discrimination skills
  • Decoding literature
  • Auditory processing
  • Reading comprehension

GROSS AND FINE MOTOR PROGRAMS

Provide program activities to develop the child's body:

  • Coordination

  • Strength

  • Eye-hand coordination
  • Finger dexterity

HOME PROGRAMS

Parent/caregiver and teacher collaborative hands-on home-based programs to address:

  • Behavioral performance
  • Independent functioning
  • Self-care skills
  • Generalization of learned skills
  • Adaptation skills
  • Parent-involvement

THERAPY PROGRAMS

Therapeutic programs to address developmental delays:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
  • Oral Placement Therapy
  • Therapeutic Listening

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

To develop skills for independence in performing activities for daily living (ADL):
  • Feeding  -- use of utensils, eating variety of food, and adaptation to different time and place of meal
  • Toilet training  -- ability to communicate when to toilet, independence throughout toileting routine
  • Self-help skills -- tooth brushing, dressing, and washing self, grooming and feminine hygiene training
  • Independent living -- cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, dining, laundry commuting, personal accounting
  • Adaptation and community skills -- going on doctor and dentist visits, use of different community facilities, attending social or large group activities in unfamiliar places or potentially overwhelming environments
 

PRE-VOCATIONAL SKILLS

  • Working in an assembly line
  • Developing clerical work skills such as filing, handling office tools and equipment
  • Handicraft, packaging, storage, inventory
  • Functional literacy and numeracy
  • Computer literacy
  • Managing and enhancing  vocation work behavior.

TRANSITION PROGRAMS

Training adult students in preparation for mainstream into a work environment:

  • Basic educational proficiency
  • Vocational skills training specific to the strengths of the student
  • Certificate of Skills Completion programs to build competency for specific job placements
  • On-campus internships
  • Contractual employment opportunities for graduated of our Transition Program
 

RECREATIONAL AND PLAY SKILLS PROGRAMS

Develop appropriate behavioral and skills for recreation:
  • Imitative and parallel play
  • Imaginative play
  • Social interactive play
  • Outdoor recreation

SENSORY AND ADAPTATION PROGRAMS

Address sensory deficits that interfere with the process of learning by modifying unusual behavioral response to stimuli: taste and olfactory, visual, auditory, tactile, proprioceptive and vestibular.
