Outreach Activites

Shine IC periodically has outreach activities to assist communities outside our center, who are in need of our therapy and educational services.

One of communities is at Baguio’s 1st Pediatric Therapy Center for children with special needs, founded by Dr. Francis Dimalanta, Founder &  Medical Director of A Child’s DREAM

Shine IC, represented by BunnyJoaquin, Autism Intervenionist, Behavior Therapist, Special Education Consultant, facilitates a Workshop on Autism for Parents & Therapists on “ Relationship Between Communication & Behavior” to help better understand what a person with autism is like. It will include Functions of Behavior to accurately identify what behavioral manifestations to address based on a Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA).

  • Relief Operation for Typhoon Victims

Through the generous donations from our students' parents, faculty, staff, relatives and friends, we were able to pack (rice, canned and ready-to-ear food, clothes, shoes, bed sheets, blankets, diapers, drinking water and medicines)  distributed to over 500 families in 3 barrangays of our adopted community in Sta. Maria, Laguna.

As more donations continue to come in, we will be able to pack and delivery to 2 more barrangays.  Their main source of livelihood is rice, vegetable and fruit plantations which the typhoon has devastatingly flooded.  There is currently shortage in rice supply.
